Darth Vader's name actually has its roots in Dutch (meaning 'Dark Father'), while other A retelling of the Star Wars Rebel's story from the beginning but this time Ezra is a Mandalorian from clan kryze. Originally they had black and red armor, but then Lucas made that into the Super Commando armor for Death Watch troopers loyal to Maul.STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II.

While we're on the subject of retconning, I was looking up various Mandalorian armors and it reminded me that TCW show completely changed the look of the Death Watch. But during the Mandalorian Wars, the Republic also had its own triangle-shaped ships, so I don't know. The only logical answer I can come up with is that Palpatine was a historian and wanted ships designed like the ancient Sith ones. The ships used during the Clone Wars and later the Galactic Empire are very similar in design to those used by the Sith Empire. Now, the biggest mind boggle for me has always been ship design. This can partially be attributed to 2 things: the mass loss of Mandalorians at the hand of Revan's army, and the corruption of those with authority in the Crusaders. after the Jedi Civil War, the Neo-Crusader armor was still in prominent use, but by the Cold War, almost everyone had switched to the Mandalorian Shock Trooper armor. But of course, its possible that after the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War, the Republic incorporated some of designs of the Neo-Crusader armor into their own.

My biggest complaint here is that its been stated that the T-visor on the Phase I armor was based on the Mandalorian's helmets since they were the ones training the clones. Its completely plausible that when Dooku went to Kamino to order the army, the Kaminoans used designs from history to incorporate into the Phase I armor. Prior to the Clone Wars, the Republic had not hand a standing army since 1,000 BBY. From Darth Vitiate to Darth Krayt, Vader to Caedus, and the Rule of Two itself, repetitive themes are a staple of the EU. evil, no theme is more prevalent in the Star Wars universe than history repeating itself. I've done a fair bit of research into this, so if you'll indulge me:Īside from good vs.
